Someone explain treasure chests to me
Where do I find them? Never seen one, and I'm that spastic scout that makes sure to triple check every corner for crafting materials.

They give... weapon paintjobs? Or also those cool mesh attachments we've seen in the update videos?

Is there a tell to them?
Like being buried but having bits stick out (like some gems), making a beeping noise, having some glow...

There's a Cargo Crate, All yellowish with Red lights all over it, then you have to find 2 batteries which are also yellow and usually lay not far from Cargo crate, you have to insert them into crate and then fix it, pretty much same stuff as what you do with Mini Mules. As far as I've seen they spawn in any type of regular mission.

There is roughly a 1 in 6 chance of finding one in a given mission.

You get minerals when you open it, and then you click on it to get a skin.

I haven't seen any, or heard of any one getting any so I'm gonna say they are not in yet.

Haven't found a single crate all day yet... just how rare are these things?!

That's great to know

They're not super rare. Just explore more and you'll find em, the crate is quite big and hard to miss. I'm glad they're not as rare as Bittergem or Error cubes.

I found some Bittergem (my condolences to Dirt Diggers for having that quest) but no crates and as I said I always explore caves fully before extracting
