Endless swarms during Aquarqs mission (hazard 2).
There is still this "bug" during Aquarqs missions where it suddenly starts spawning ENDLESS swarms over and over and over.
By endless swarms i mean HUNDREDS of bugs, ten times more than i have seen in any type of mission.
And it does not stop... it just keeps spawning more and more and more and more and more.
My team and i spent like 30 minutes fighting that endless swarm until in the end we ran out of Ammo and Resupply Pods.
Each one of us had between 260 and 560 kills.

It is kinda awesome shooting a zillion bugs over and over but the limited ammo and health just don't seem made for it.
Isn't there supposed to be some limit on how many bugs can be spawned at once or how often swarms can occur?

At what time does this begin? The mission should be over way before 30 minutes; plus there is still a cap on how many enemies can spawn.

Hey thank you for replying.
Well we were at 9/10 aquarqs but honestly the mission did take quite a while.
We found the last aquarq and as we approached it all hell broke loose!

Within a minute the whole floor was squirming and swarming with bugs.
We tried over and over to get close to the aquarq to toss it closer to the minehead but the zounds of bugs (especially the smallest ones) made that almost impossible.

After about 20ish minutes of hard core fighting, resurrecting, dropping resupply pods for ammo and running around we were just completely spent.

Honestly it was super fun to fight so many bugs that you can barely see the cavern floor but such a mode would need some infinite ammo so we can keep up :)

its not a bug, point extraction escalates over time by design. Eventually you will just get endless waves (just have someone throw in the last aquarq and end it!)

As Dwarfurious stated, that's not a bug, it's intended to be that way.
More and more glyphids will spawn as the time progresses, that's why you have to finish the mission quickly.

mkay thank you :)

Though it would be super fun to have an "infinite ammo - infinite bugs" mode just for awesome action.

I agree, that could be really awesome, as a kind of suvival mode.

They did have plans in the future for some sort of survival mode so that might just be a thing.

Sorry for necro but i wish that this would be more transparent. I am solo-ing hazard 4 sorta fine until suddenly endless waves. The swarm is endless and i was on 6/10 at that point because the before the 30mins mark the swarm are still massive and it takes me time to kite them. Also because of the map's layout it takes time for me to just go up and down.

By the end of the game (43:36) I killed 662 and FIVE DETONATORS and died because it is simply impossible to carry anything to the mine head with the amount of swarms knocking me off of the zipline and I ran out of ammo.

5 detonators is a bit over. The swarm also escalated too early (I feel like the swarm started before the 30mins mark because I have spent at least 10 mins just kite and use the 3 seconds of peace to bring 2 aqua in)

Ye aquarks are really not a fun map design as far as enemy waves go.

There should be a mandatory break between swarms and a limit to how strong waves get.

You should be done with a PE in 20 mins.

Are you guys playing solo or something? 45 mins for a PE is absurd, no offense.

That said, yeah the game should mention that time is a factor more than it does.

No engie/driller can make these mission stretch out quite a bit though, when not having Bosco to do the lifting.

even in solo, you can ping any aquarq in a wall to bosco and he'll go dig them up, you can stay on the minehead and get half the aquarqs without even moving most of the time

I solo PE's on haz4 in 8 minutes or less, if someone is taking 45 minutes then they have no business being in haz4 and should get more familiarity with the game first. Also:

Sweeeet seven-month necro, bro!

You do aware that your arguments just boils down to "If I can and you dont this your fault". You better be a complete success in every regards in life or else you have no business surviving and should get more familiarity with the society first.

Solo Gunner (which I admit is not ideal so I'm trying to level up driller right now).
It really depends on the maps layout. Im playing as gunners and all the aquas are all far away from the minehead. 3 of them requies 7 zipline (far and Z shape), another 3 is easily accessable. And that also means I have to spent a lot of time on getting supplies. Not to mention that fact that I need bosco for the 5 bulk detonators.

Well, he's right. The game spawned infinite enemies to punish you for being too slow. You were not fast enough so the game decided to kill you. You need to go faster so it doesn't do that. Whether you do that by lowering the difficulty so it's simpler or playing more efficiently doesn't matter, but you need to figure out a way to do it.
