Host leaving server / Sudden mission end
I'm enjoying the closed alpha, I believe Deep Rock Galactic has potential to be a great bit of fun.

I've played a little over 3 hours now and a good half the games I play end suddenly, sometimes near the end of a hazardous mission when the host quits the game. Although these missions don't typically take longer than 15-20 minutes it is becoming frustrating to join a server and have it drop within moments, even more so when the mission is almost complete.

Perhaps it wouldn't be such an issue if playing with friends only but in random public games it happens far to often and the pleasure soon turns to irritation. Sort that out and you've got a sale.

joining random public games can be a pain for that.
you never know what kind of people you join and how much they care about you.

it might just be players with bad internet, crashing mid-game.

I understand the limitations of networking and it would cost far too much to run dedicated servers to take over the peer to peer instances, perhaps a central server could handle transferring the host to the next player in queue in such circumstances?

Sometimes it might just be the host kicking you, you dont get a notification if thats the case. Maybe they dont know how to start passwords =\

Was in one game with you today, went to say hello (recognized the dwarf addict) but missed the opportunity.

I don't believe that kicking is the case, it's obviously the host ending their play session, losing connection or crashing and all other players connected return to their lobby area.

A small price to pay to plunder HOXXES IV.

Just giving some constructive criticism. I suppose the core game is unlikely to change, reprogramming the networking infrastructure would be to start from the ground up in most cases.
