If you're stopped at a white screen and ARE playing through Steam and ARE online, we could use your error log to help us narrow down what's going on! It could be a hardware issue but it could also be something we might be able to fix. In fact, if you've hit any big game-breaking bugs, a log could really help us figure it out.
