cannot even open the game

It always wan me install microsoft visual c++ 2015 runtime, but after I installed it still wan me install

I'm not really sure what is going on here, I have never seen this issue pop up in relation to Vanguards. Perhaps it is something else?

I don't know, but it's only appear when i play vanguard. Other game does not pop that =/

I am looking into this, one of the members of our team had the same issue but I haven't been able to reproduce it yet. I am still working on it!

tldr: make sure windows is up to date on all updates and then manually download and install the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 [www.microsoft.com]

I don't get any message about Visual C++, but I also am having the issue that the game just doesn't open at all. On my Windows 7 64 bit system it works fine, but on my Windows 10 64 bit system it doesn't open at all. All that happens is a window flashes on the screen that says "Preparing to launch Vanguards...", then it disappears and nothing happens.

I tried installing the Visual C++ 2015 update, but that didn't seem to help at all.

Hey! I had the exact same problem as Tobit! every time I tried to open it, it just showed "Preparing to launch Vanguards..." but then it never did. I already has MS Visual C++, and I reinstalled it, but nothing happened. Visual C++ probably won't help, so don't waste the megabytes!! So anyway... every chance I got, I double clicked on the icon, and the same thing happened. but then, today, I did it, and it WORKED! I have no Idea what was wrong though. SALTY!!
