I just think if Valve is gonna make a game and it pushes the boundaries of gaming. Sets the standard for VR games. After that, they should just try to help the mod scene when they can but if not... well maybe now I think about it... they have not cared about Steam VR since the Steam Deck!

Hello since the update and playing on my quest 3 via link cable, I am unable to start the game.

Only the rubble floor of the main menu louds,and I see 2 rift controllers instead of the hands and hear the menu sounds.
Steam show a unable to loud texture 110 error or something in that order on the monitor, and the menu and floor keep running till I turn it off.

It worked fine first time playing with newly purchased rig (i9 13900k/RTX4090), then every start up since THIS happens 😔

Please help

Deleting the auto save and re install does nothing

Every other VR game works fine, even the Half Life 2 mods

You using the beta steam? Day one of Quest 3 I played Alyx all day on ultra and high while Q3 downloaded games. I try the beta and as soon as I load in I am 12 feet tall and having a stuttering

weird how there's still no mod tools.

They just released the game to sell their Steam VR , they should already release a non VR Half Life Alyx already so we can enjoy the gameplay and multiplayer maps in a different way

If you removed the VR from Alyx, it wouldn't be Alyx. You wouldn't be able to enjoy the gameplay because the gameplay is designed purely for VR.
