Meta Quest 3 is the best bang for the buck. And you'll get to play both PCVR games and Meta exclusives like batman or Asgard's wrath 2

is the 3s worth it or is the regular 3 the better option? also for those unaware if you buy a meta quest 3 or 3s before the end of april arkham shadow is included with it

I am also looking for this information, I've been wanting to play this game and also Blade & Sorcery for a long time.
So Meta Quest 3 can be used for all VR games here on steam?

yes but from what i understand its by streaming only even with a wired connection. the quest is cheaper than other gaming vr headsets and doesnt require any wires or cameras theres also various exclusives such as batman arkham shadow (which is included with the purchase of a 3 or 3s until the end of april) and the vr version of the original RE4. decided ill just be buying a 3 instead of a 3s

The original 3 has higher resolution screens, and most importantly, pancake lenses. These allow for a clear image edge to edge, rather than the concentric rings on fresnel lenses. The 3S rolls the clock back and is more akin to the Quest 2, visually.

If for PCVR I would go with Pico Neo 3 Link or DPVR E4 (cheapest options), they have display port (P3 also has wireless mode) and don't relay of external apps for streaming picture via USB of Wi-Fi which adds compression, GPU usage and lag, so Q2, Q3 an Pico 4 are not best options for PC (even if Pico 4 is better choice than Quest 3 if will be used only for streaming). Beware of buying WMR headset since Microsoft stopped support for them.

i did some extra research and yeah , i kinda like the pico neo 3, i would prefer not to relay on my wifi for video streaming, i think im going to go with that set ...

Good choice, I am using this one for 2 years now without issues, it is plug and play so after installing drivers you don't have to run anything but SteamVR to play games.

Just finished the game a second time using Quest 3 via Virtual Desktop.
It was perfect.

Right now I don't think you can beat the Quest 3 for overall value. Native apps are pretty damn good, and wireless PCVR with steam link is even better.

how does the 3s compare? for comparison my only experience with vr was the psvr and outside of the cameras my only problem with it was how blurry everything was. could barely read any ingame text with a psvr. is the 3s worth it or do i flat out need to buy a 3?

If you want wired PCVR, PSVR2 is on a big sale now and you can get it plus the PC adapter and a displayport cable than the price of a quest 3.
