Is this game worth the cost?

I've been giving VR games a chance again, been playing RE4VR on the Quest 2 and I have been having a lot of fun with it. I really want Alyx but It's so expensive, does it go on sale often or does it stay at 60 USD typically?

Yes it's worth it. It does usually go on sale any time there's a major Steam sale (Winter Sale, Summer Sale etc) though.

You just missed the major spring sale, it was £15. (I bought it) and honestly, it's worth every penny.

I bought it on the spring sale, weeks before I even ordered my VR headset, now that my headset dropped yesterday, I can surely say that it is worth every single penny

Honestly, if it released today itd still be by far the best VR experience and worth every cent. It goes on sale annually though. Nothing comes close to this game in VR.

Haha Im glad I dabbled Alyx years after getting my Quest 3. It made me realize even more how great it is and how little the VR games give in effort compared to it. You will never play a VR game that looks and feels as good as it. Well, hopefully we do, but nothing comes close yet. Wish Batman wasn't q3 exclusive bc it probably would of looked great since the actual game is fun af.

I also got it in the sale (I've been waiting since it launched to buy this game!!) - but didn't feel confident that any VR game was worth 50. THIS GAME IS SO WORTH IT. I'm only about an hour in and I'm blown away by every little detail. Buy it (or wait until the next sale - whenever that'll be!)

its worth it if you like the concept of vr. otherwise no.

It is 100% worth it especially if it's on sale. (Which it was recently) But it's likely there will be more sales coming up (Including summer sale). And even Half life 2 (which is normally played on PC) Has a VR mod for it! The experience and mods you can get through half life alyx is unimaginable. You can get around 20 hours of playtime from half life alyx (on average. It could be shorter or longer depending on your pace). Definitely pick up the game once it goes on sale again! It got as low as 16 Usd not too long ago and maybe it'll be discounted to that price again.
