I would also try a cable link, maybe you are getting wireless interference.
Another thing is check your laptop temps. (like any computer, it could be affected by things from dust build up to things like it may need it actual cooling looked at (re seating fans/new thermal compound etc).

Virtual reality pre-rendered frames set to use the 3d application setting
Refresh rate set to use 3d application setting

Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling: Enabled
After applying these suggestions, the game runs smooth like it did before. Occasional slowdown when things get complicated but it's a night/day difference.
