Can anyone please help me with installing the NoVR mod?

A couple of days ago I could get it to run, but all the files were spread across my desktop home screen, which I found untidy. I did this because I followed a youtube tutorial that you can find here:

So I deleted them all, but since then the game didn't work anymore.
For the life of my I can't get it to run using the NoVR mod that you can find here:

I extracted the files to a custom made map. Then I wanted to copy those files to the original half life alyx map, but I noticed that some files aren't in the map anymore, only the map "game".

I don't know what I'm doing wrong! I uninstalled en reinstalled a couple of times, verified the integrity of the game files,...

How did I manage to get it to run the first time, but not anymore now! Please help!!

I guess i do not understand what you mean by i extracted the files to a custom made map? I would love to help ya,,ive helped a few players at getting it started, Do you mean you removed (deleted) all the of what?, You should only have a (send to desktop shortcut) for the launcher.

HERE IS THE WAY I DID IT.

Download them 2 i gave ya, HLA-NoVR-main and HLA-NoVR-Launcher-main.
Open HLA-NoVR-main folder and grab/copy all of them files and folders and put them in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life Alyx.

Open HLA-NoVR-Launcher-main folder and grab/copy all of them files in your C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life Alyx.

In your steam game library for the game,,right click it and go to properites and at bottom of page where it says LAUNCH OPTIONS, put -novr -vsync +vr_enable_fake_vr 1 and thats done there...

Now go back to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life Alyx and find the file HLA-NoVR-Launcher,right click it and send to (desktop shortcut)... Thats it...now restart steam, and to start the game use the shortcut HLA-NoVR-Launcher that on your desktop.

They released a new update of that mod try it, it may work with u fine

Does. Not. Work. Valve logo with black block in center then black screen. Can hear all sounds but nothing works. Does anyone know a fix? Please?

Of note, have done everything from every forum on how to fix. novr folder is in main folder, it recognizes game, the launch options are set from google doc. No idea what's going on.

did u tested the june 22nd, 2024 version (36Mb) from moddb website ?

I downloaded 2 days ago. Just ran the installer they provided. Easy as pie.

I have it installed and I was able to run the game but when I hit new game and try to select a slot it doesn't do anything.
