(it might feel like you're searching for a needle in a haystack, but more than likely it has logged something that stands out...errr....to a Source 2 modder, at the very least).
has resolution similar to a good monitor very happy with the clarity and ease of use.
more people will have a positive exp with this headset and it will be a huge leap in getting the gen population to adopt this. mixed reality was much better then i expected. its pretty functional sight and easy to mistake it for seeing things w/o the headset on. good 3d perception and colors on the pass through. could see a point in the future with extremely good cameras being able to pinch and zoom for eagle vision, night vision, overlays for information and virtual computing .most everyone would never want to take them off if they could get to the point of being as comfortable as a pair of ski goggles.
the demo in occulus home is pretty strong if you are on the fence about MR gaming this should be enough to see the potential. have not really looked at all the mixed reality stuff to see if we have a standout game like a " robo recall" or superhot level title.the best app might end up just being something like virtual desktop when they release multi window support.
alyx is sort of my go to game for testing and it lives up to the rep once again. the detail on the russels is incredible. my first time launching on virtual desktop. 4090 card supports av1 encoding and it was only late last night i got it fired up on av1 from virtual desktop. seeing things i missed with quest 2 amazing how far we chave come just since the game released . between av1, 4090, increased smoothness and the headset. the experience is as good as i ever dreamed of when i strapped on the first cv1 when it came out years ago
non vr optimized titles like fallout 4 where far object detail lacked needs a fresh visit. onward can now see guys up to medium distance. before only up close. people are like blobs now only at far distances . iracing is my primary motivation for buying the new headset and it was also a great exp.
