System below minimum requirements?
The fans do rev up sometimes (annoying) and I have:
Dual RTX 2080 nvidea cards
8 core i7-9700 cpu
32 GB ram
How the heck can it be below minimum specs?
any ideas?
thanks.

Oh, it does play, fine except for the revving of the fans from time to time.

My system actually is below min specs, all be it barely, and I can run the game max settings perfectly, just the computer gets pretty hot. Can you just not run the game because of it or what's going on?

What makes you think you're below minimum specs?

Who said you where below minimum specs. Your clearly not. SO seems your the one in error. Not sure what your complaining about.

Actually I had the same thing happen to me. The game gave me a prompt stating that my specs were below the minimum. I have a RTX 2080 Super. i79700, 16 MB ram. I think it may be a bug, but I have experienced what OP is talking about.

The error message "system below minimum" comes up in the opening screen. I accept and play anyway. I only wonder if it's because I have Oculus Rift S and perhaps it prefers the Vive? Perhaps it's a bug like K Skate suggests because I can play it...with the occasional fan revving.
Still, it's not what I would expect after investing in a pc that should have not trouble at all. Thanks for the comments.

BTW, as a long long time fan of HL, I totally love this game...just wish it would love me back a little quieter and stop telling me my rig is not up to it.

You're definitely not under specs. As for fan revving check your temps and adjust the fan curve if it's fine.

I have an Oculus Rift S and an I7 8700K GTX 1080ti 32 GB. I have never once got the message. I think the game just does not detect some GPUs possibly the NVidia 2000 series

I've done the game under win 7, while it says win 10 is the minimum. Not a single issue.

I got a alienware m15 r2 laptop with a RTX 2060 nvidia & have the same minimum requirement msg. Though my fps is horrible as low as 10-15 in a lot of areas. I know the m15 is n't the best though it is a high end gaming laptop so i would expect a bit more from it at least. My headset is Oculus Rift S

i9 2080 super and got this message too. Is there a way to check it's definitely running as well as it should after getting this error message?

Could the game possibly be confused by your dual graphics card setup? VR games are generally not able to take advantage of dual cards. Just a thought. It's probably something else...
