Can you beat the entire game sitting down?
I tried playing this game with my oculus quest 2 and when I was sitting down on a chair I was very short in the actual game. Is there a option in one of the settings where I can adjust the height of the character so I can play through the whole game sitting? If I do sit, will there be items that will be on the ground making it hard for someone who sits while playing to grab? The reason why I am asking if I can play the entire game sitting down is because while standing I kind of feel motion sickness when I turn around in the game. I don't like the teleport movement so I set the controls so that I can move around kind of like a normal fps game.

I see no reason why not, I believe the game was designed to support that too. As the gravity gloves are designed to pick things from a distance, things on the floor shouldn't be an issue.

Having said that I haven't tried it myself, I played standing and using room scale as much as possible. Maybe someone who's played it sitting could provide better advice.

Should be able to do it... I know one of the control options lets you press a button for crouching instead of having to do it with your knees...

As for the motion sickness, try angle snapping on the turns instead of smooth turning. Takes a bit of getting used to, but doesn't cause that weird dizzy feeling.

Seconded on snap turning.

I've got my "VR legs" and can play generally with smooth locomotion for hours without issue, but if anything still gets me, it's smooth turning. Moving around is one thing, but having the room spin without actual movement really throws out the inner ear.

If I physically turn or use snap turning I don't have problems.
Yes you can, I have issues standing for long periods so I've beaten it several times sitting down. You can adjust your height using Steam VR Room Setup (doesn't matter if you're using Oculus, you'll still need to use Steam VR Room Setup to change the height), to do it:
-Launch Steam VR
-In your Steam library, make sure you have "Tools" visible, then find Steam VR Room Setup and launch it.
-Follow onscreen instructions (on monitor, doesn't display it in VR). For the height, someone worked out Alyx's height is about 177.8 cm in HL2, so you could use that or your real height of course.
-Launch Half-Life: Alyx through Steam VR and have fun!

The game has all sorts of accessibility options. There is even a single hand mode.

If you have the valve index, click the joystick on either hand to toggle between seated and standing height

I don't understand why you all talk like the options are smooth w/stick and snap.

From day one I did smooth.. with body. And that was the way. There's absolutely no reason not to do this... oh well I guess if you're using a tethered headset it might get a little cumbersome if you don't have basic real-time cable management skills. (not saying I do either) but most people are using a Quest these days so it should be a no-brainer for most to just smoothly turn their body to turn in game.
