Bad Performance in Chapter 8 zoo area

Hello. I am currently in the zoo section of Chapter 8. The frame rate had been fine all throughout the game, until this point. It has become unplayable. I am playing on Quest 2 if that helps any. I am also on medium settings.

System Specs: GTX 1660ti, Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz, 16GB RAM.

It could be that the game is switching constantly the videlity settings on that part of the level.

Try this with the game launch options:

-console -vconsole +vr_fidelity_level_auto 0 +vr_fidelity_level 3

You can try a lower fidelity setting if needed. Also make sure that the vr headset is not running a higher refreshrate than 90hz and considering you gpu i would try even lower refreshrate like 75hz.

Maybe you should try to lower the resolution for your headset for this game.
