[Fixed] Headcrab model swaps/removal mods?

I just googled for some Head crab model swaps/removal mods and even went on the workshop and the only thing i can find is either people suggesting it or people saying they're working on it but like. 8 months+ back in time and haven't responded to my attempt at contacting them when i asked them if they were still working on it.

I was wondering if something like this even exists? since i love the Half life series but Half life Alyx just scares me so much.

The "Standard" head crabs are fine those just look like plucked turkeys...It's the other head crab variants that make this game unplayable for me sadly...I've only gotten so far to the point where you get the flashlight. I instantly quit afterwards to look up the other head crabs and even tho i love the look and feel of this game i can't handle those creatures...Not in VR atleast...My arachnophobia can't handle it.

I'd even be fine with them being replaced with Zombies to still keep the horror aspect but these head crabs just scare me to the point of crying and not being able to sleep for weeks...

I appreciate your help but these still keep the general shape of the headcrab...I was hoping for something that looks less like a giant lanky spider.

So I dug a little deeper and the best *I* can come up with right now is this person's mod, where they've replaced the headcrabs with floating crates.. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2396109095
I've actually had a little looksie over the Hammer level editor and uhm,.. replacing the headcrabs with zombies would be easy enough to do, but re-rendering every level afterwards to make them playable would take pretty much forever.. (on my hardware atleast.) :(

i know the issue is fixed, but the real issue here is your mindset, you see it as a alien spider, i see it as a cute puppy trying to hug me that i gotta put to sleep with blanks
