What is the wattage of PSU that is supplied? Maybe under full load its simply not keeping up.
With it being a laptop it could also be heat related. What are your temps, It could be thermal throttling hence it plays for a little bit, then slows, then resets.
Some people with similar issues have improved things with a full driver strip out and re-install, but it has not fully resolved the issue.
As for performance I should point out that maybe your expectations are a little off, the 3050 while new is a low-mid range card and it only has 4gb of vram, which will hold it back, essentially your using a series 30 model 50, and the mobile version at that (which are usually slower than their desktop counterparts).
Doing a google search it seems a few people are having issues with G15's resetting.

If its under warranty I would contact Dell customer support and explain the issue. Just looking through that thread, it would appear to be a hardware issue. Though not the psu as I thought, apparently when boosting the cpu to play games better, its sending too much power.
I am not sure if its doing that in your case, but it is looking more like an issue with the g15 hardware. So contacting Dell maybe your only way forward.
