Doesn't work for Rift S, makes me so sad.
I understand that there are better Vr headsets, I just wish they told me before I got the game that this doesn't work with Rift S. My computer meets the requirements, just not my headset, very disappointing. It's simply way too laggy to play, and that makes me sad.

I'm kind of over virtual reality. I wish I was rich and knew more about technology.

Alyx is perfectly compatible with the Rift S and there shouldn't be any lag. Is your PC definitely up for the job? What are your specifications?

My Rift S works great how much memory do you have?

only problem i have with the rift s and alyx is when i die theres a bit of lag when i first spawn back in but subsides entirely after 10 seconds or so.

I love my rift s and don't have any plans to change any time soon.

"too laggy" seem more a specs problem, and if your PC is up to specs, maybe only a configuration problem. (but solving the last one can be tricky if you don't have "many knowledge about technology")

My old Rift CV1 played this just fine.

My shiny new Reverb G2 however....

If something lags it is because of your PC.

Uh... yes it does? I played the entire game twice with the Rift S.

Put the headset on, go to desktop view, open Steam, boot up "Steam VR". From Steam VR launch the game. Simple.

If it's lagging it's your PC being too slow.

Get sure you play with asw on. Use oculus try tool and you can even set it to 45fps asw Alyx is one of the rare games that feels totaly smooth on 45 fps. You will reach most of the time 90 fps easy however the fps drops between 90 to 72 or even lower cause this lags.

I just can't get over the idea that I can play Red Dead Redemption 2 on the highest settings, but can't play a VR game on the lowest settings.

Once again, I wish I was rich and understood technology, but I simply can't afford the time and money on games.

VR is pretty intensive, partly because it literally has to render every frame twice to create the stereoscopic visuals.

But if your PC really does meet the requirements then it may be a configuration thing.

You don't need to be rich or understand technology to let us know your specs!

I played the entire game 4 times with my Rift S as recently as a month ago. No issues whatsoever. Either your headset is defective or there is another reason you are having issues.
