-Best Audio Design
-Best VR/AR Game (duh)
-Best Action Game

That Best VR/AR Game list looks like they only looked at major publishers. Indie VR games be damned. There's way better indie games than some of those titles.

What? Lol it’s the best new aaa game on metacritic this year (93, same as last of us 2) and has a higher user score then the top 10 metacritic games. Wtf lol.

It is a shame, as all the time, effort and work put into it and the all round great reception from people who played it should be rewarded.
Even if it didn't win, it really deserves a spot in the nominations.

I do think the VR stigma probably relegated it behind the other options. Either way I hope the team realises how much we believe they deserve recognition for their work and how much we love the game.

IMHO even if the game was made flat (with adjustments to combat encounters and weapons to be more like in HL2) it would be a masterpiece anyway. There is so much quality content and story in the game totally unrelated to being a VR-only. It definitely deserves to nominate in GOTY category.

The only other game i would have considered topping half life Alyx is cyberpunk, sadly that isn't released yet though.

But really the last of us 2? Which many didn't like. Doom eternal which i enjoyed, but did it really do anything amazing or new? No

Guess that's to be expected when not many people were able to play HLA

But when it says "RECOGNIZING A GAME THAT DELIVERS THE ABSOLUTE BEST EXPERIENCE ACROSS ALL CREATIVE AND TECHNICAL FIELDS."

Aside from not delivering an experience to mouse and keyboard, it achieves all the others better than any other game up there.
Its not like the other games deliver an experience for VR anyway.

It’s still the highest rated game on steam by users and has the best metacritic/userscore this year, recognition is definitly there
