You could use Open VR Advanced Settings and the "Floor Fix" (start looking at 5:40min)

It works well and you can use it in all other SteamVR Games too if needed

To properly fix this issue, just run Room Setup again.

i ran that tool before to fix old issues in past and i did try it after you recommended it did not make any change the floor is only like this in Alyx my other steam games fixed it self with re centering But i have found if you take off the headset and then put it back on during gameplay it puts me at the correct hight...¿?¿ just starting me off this way all the time...

are you using the recenter view button on oculus(right controller menu button)? you need to use the steam VR recenter button (menu button on left controller). the steam menu one is harder to see you will have to point around the menu until you find it its not a big green labeled button like the oculus one.

I discovered (og vive) that the game is centred in your room purely by the direction you are facing when you load the game. I know this because during play I would slightly face another direction (not intentional) and as soon as the game loads up, the main menu/screen changes each time. So, face your preferred direction just before you load the game, either at the start or each time you load after a death. Works like a charm. Wish Valve had mentioned this beforehand.

It won. I ended up re-3d printing a sensor mount to put it back in original position. Alyx was the only game doing this to me after i re centered. But now sensor back in old position and issue is not found anymore:)
