Bug? Wheel won't insert into the socket that opens the rolling door in Chapter 3

I am stuck at the place in Chapter where you get a wheel with a handle, and meant to insert it into a red socket to open a rolling door. No matter what I do the wheel won't stay in the socket. It would drop on the floor whenever I let go of it.

The same place as 38:46 in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0DCuCy-Fyw. I seem stuck and can't progress in the game. Any one encountered the same issue?

Just found a youtube video with the exact same issue I'm experiencing. The video doesn't have a solution though.

This could be due to an item indexing bug.

Launch the game on a new save, open the console and change the map to this exact map.
Only try to use the wheel, don't do anything else.
Report back to me, does this fix the problem or not?

Type "status" in vconsole when your save loads. It will tell you the exact map somewhere on the list. Sorry for the late reply.
