Russell's Not Working
I thought it was very weird that when I tried throwing things in the game they'd just fall straight down from my hand, when I got to the Russell's tutorial I'm told to tether to the item and flick back my wrist, but when doing so nothing happens, no matter how I try flicking. I think this issue is the same reason why I can't throw things. Other VR Games throwing mechanics work fine so if anyone has any advice I'd be very appreciative!!

Edit:I have a Vive!

No idea, but for others to help you may want to let us know which headset/controllers you are using.

Oops I forgot to put that in, it's a Vive. Thank you!!
Using the Vive wands you should be able to point to an object which will then highlight with a faint orange glow. Then, you pull the trigger and pull the item towards you with a flick of your wrist.

If that doesn't work check your controller bindings.

I've looked up videos on how other people are doing it and I think I'm doing it correctly, currently I'm using the Official Default Bindings for the Vive Wands in the game.

Is the object glowing orange when pointing at it. If so, do you get any audio queues?

Yeah the object glows and Russell says that I'm tethered to it, flicking back is the only thing not working, it's all very strange cause aside from throwing not working either the game has been playing really well.

Hmm not sure. I don't have a Vive, maybe someone with more experience can help. Although I had read that some Vive (I think Vive) users needed to connect the external sensors together with some cable or something... not 100% on that.

When I first started out, I was using a full arm motion, like yanking a string, until I got the hang of it. Now I can do a simple flick, but had to start out with an exaggerated motion. Be careful not to strain your shoulder, though.

I just tried that, seems like nothing's happening still, thanks for the input though!! I'll post a video soon enough,

Here's a video of the issue, I try a bunch of different ways to get the item to fling back but it barely budges

I'm gonna have to look into that, apparently I've read that charging the controllers helps too with other games? I haven't found anything about this issue specifically though.
