HELP! Russell's machine won't give me the Gravity Gloves!

I've been stuck here for over a week. Where he says, "pick up a couple of Russell's" and he unlocks the door and you go in and put your hands in the two tubes... NOTHING HAPPENS FOR ME! I've watched other people play and when they stick their hands in the machine starts sparking and when they pull their hands out they have the gravity gloves attached, but when I stick my hands in all I feel is a vibration from my controllers but the machine does nothing, the game does nothing, and I'm literally locked in this room and I can't leave! Been stuck here for 8 days, and restarted the game over and over and played up to this part over and over, I'm SO sad. *CLUE?? During the conversation with Russell the audio lags pretty bad, the voice and his month are off by about 3 seconds!

I verified the integrity of the game files and nothing, and then I completely redownloaded the game, which took most of the day.

This is my first VR experience, everything I'm using to play Half-Life Alyx was bought in March and is BRAND NEW straight out of factory sealed boxes! I spent over 2K just to play this, I'm a HUGE Half-Life fan and waited over a decade to play a new HL title. Oh, I'm using an Oculus Quest, Oculus Link, on a ASUS Zephyrus GA502DU Gaming Laptop.

Might be a delayed reaction or something... Tried keeping them in for a little longer? Tried making REALLY sure that you do not have them?

I would start a new game and see what happens as a first test. Regarding the lag, you are playing on low settings right?

I would suggest to reinstall the Oculus software and relink the controllers. You have probably a tracking problem.

Did you read this:

Is it connected via USB C to your Laptop?

And.. sadly the Oculus Quest is not official supported for this game. This may be the problem too. The store page says only Oculus Rift.

I dont have an Oculus Quest but this article shows you exactly how to get it running. Hope this may help you.

Are you sticking both of your hands in the receptacles at the same time. It wont work if you put 1 hand in at a time.

Try to squat then put your two hands a little lower than graphy representation and stay 10 seconds.

SOLVED!!! I switched to Single Hand Controller, and my one hand connected to the Gravity Glove, then I went back into settings and switched it to Two Hand Controllers and then the second Gravity Glove just appeared on my other hand! Thanks for the suggestions guys, though I actually figured it out myself. Still, thanks
