Game says graphics card doesn't meet minimum requirements?
Right off the bat I have an nvidia GeForce RTX 2070, so it very much does meet the requirements. Alyx is up to date, VR drivers are up to date, graphics card drivers are up to date, so is Windows 10. 32 gigs ddr4 ram, I7 7700 processor. I'm using an original Vive.

Since I last played a few weeks ago it is now lagging occasionally and dropping frames, and when I boot up the game it says, like the title, that my video card doesn't meet the minimum requirements.

So what gives?

fair warning that a 7700 might not be enough to fully use the power of a 2070

The game tends to tell people that their GPU's are not fast enough, but it doesn't seem to have any impact on game performance. Looks elsewhere for your performance issues.

Best that you can do is set your Windows power plan to high performance, and your NVCP to Prefer Maximum Performance. Alyx WILL use the every inch of your system it can, so long it's available.

For frame dropping, the best solution is to disable the auto scaling resolution. It doesn't quite do the job well enough, and does cause significant frame drops. I forget the command line options to achieve that though, sorry...

I get the same thing.

RTX 2070 Super, I7 6700k, 16GB RAM on Win 10.

There are quite a few of us, and there is another thread bouncing around full of issues like this, so your not alone.
