Valve Index headset (I also have Oculus drivers and software installed as I also have a Rift S from before I got my Index, maybe there's an issue with having different VR drivers installed?)
Also of note, I have a main monitor, 1440p 144hz, and a second monitor, 1080p ultrawide 60hz. I've had issues with OBS which I've heard could be an issue with windows and having multiple displays at different frame rates, I don't know if it could be having an effect here but if others have similar setups it could point to that being the case, otherwise my guess it being AMD specific?
I haven't even touched the game in so long not *entirely* because of this but certainly in *part* due to it. Any fix or lead on one would be super appreciated!
What a waste of 10 resin
Yes that is exactly the problem, but it doesn't seem intended, and only seems to happen to a handful of people, but it means, as the person above you said, you have wasted resin, and lost some legitimately helpful functionality. And it is just outright janky that this would even happen at all and I am honestly shocked that there STILL is no fix for this?!
Dang, really? I literally just this week dug out my index, was going to finally get around to trying again with this game soon, but I remember this being so annoying as to being a contributing factor to me not coming back (among, yknow, life happening etc).
Usually when this kind of thing happens but isn't a universal complaint, as evidenced by this only being the second page of comments, it is some specific hardware configuration thing, most commonly the brand of GPU, more specifically, an AMD problem in most cases, but I'm baffled, if that is the case, that there is no driver level fix for this, even if by accident lol. Still, if anyone having this issue could confirm that they experience this with an nvidia card, that would at least rule it out as an AMD specific issue...
edit: okay whilst this thread is only two pages long, searching the discussions shows a bunch of other people with this complaint. I also just found the below mod on the workshop that I'm hoping is some kind of relief for this issue, though far from perfect, I think I'll be trying that out when I get round to playing. But seriously Valve please fix 🥺
