But, yea. It's not working. I barely use it anyway. They are stingy with that shotty ammo.
Yeah, my first upgrade was the laser sight for the shotgun on launch day and it had the same issue then. Not a patch problem.
I, too, have been experiencing the flash-light getting knocked off in the wrong direction from where I'm aiming when I support my gun with my left-hand that it's attached to. Annoying! As for turning it on/off, it really looks like they specifically designed the game and levels so that the flashlight is only on when they want you to use it, which is kinda silly but I imagine it is for performance reasons. Regardless, they should make it automatically turn on/off as needed but still let the player toggle it too. With all the immersive stuff in the game you'd think they'd at least let you do something you could do in the previous HL games with toggling the flashlight. Oh well. I'm about to play to the end of the game, hopefully, depending on how long it takes for me to get from where I am to where the end is.
If you carry the shotgun around like it's your primary weapon, you'll find more ammo for it.
