But it seems they held back on stuff basically because a lot of people playing this will be new to VR.
I've watched some youtube vids, Gaint Bombs Jeff Gerstmann literally got confused when Russel threw the gun on the car, didn't know to pull down the wooden planks and couldn't open a door.
It was baffling, I was actually wondering at one point if he was deliberately doing it in an attempt to make VR look bad.
Also, funny that Jeff struggled, he played through Boneworks, which is orders of magnitude more demanding.
Don't agree with that .. well don't disagree either..ya I know i am confusing at times. I find all VR games to easy. I am playing it on Hard and while its ok its not hard. Sure make the game have difficulty levels but make hard freaking hard for crying out loud. I find it much easier to aim in VR than with a mouse. Shooting from side while moving to cover. Its the one thing I wish they would stop doing is making these things to easy . I love the game and still give it a 10/10 but that is the only thing I wish would change and one reason I can not wait for the editor. I can at least put a whole lot of enemies in.
This is false, HL1 AI was objectively worse, it just moved faster with higher damage output.
And the answer would easily be HL alyx.
HL1 AI is non existant they simply move on a rail,
Hl2 Ai is even more non existant, most of the time they stand and just shoot at you.
hl Alyx, is far from perfect, limited in movement space, but within their space they do somewhat react to you.
and just btw AI is a very neglected thing in shooters anyway, there is litearlly only 2 games with good AI, and that´s Fear and Stalker.
I share pretty much every complaint here, but still loved the game overall... But I won't be able to look past this in the future.
As for zombies, they are easy to fight because... that's probably what most people would expect from a zombie. A slow shambler not even really coming at you, it's the headcrab sloppily trying to drive a human body. It's no surprise to me that they move so awkwardly and slowly.
As for the headcrabs themselves, I'll try not to give any spoilers. There are varieties of them and some had much more complex movement. I'm not too upset by the more basic enemy varieties having slow ai. Are basic headcrabs meant to be apex predators? Seems like they would be most successful as ambush predators.
It's a matter of options. Options always solves these kind of problems. One-fit-all solutions never work for anyone.
I also don't like the idea of teleporting around. I wanna run throughout the game with the joystick and perhaps use the teleport in non-combat scenarios as this would just be equivalent to how a movie skips forward in time. But teleporting around during compat like you're The Flash or some X-man is just silly.
I wanna run, Volvo.
