Kill a heavy while his shield is up

anyone been able to get this? they don't really shield up very often, and i've not been able to kill them while they've had it up

They shield upped all the time for me, I think you need to toss a nade behind them.

I got it, not sure how though. I might have killed him with a grenade, or shot an explosive barrel when he was coming towards me.

As above, hammer into them with your pistol or auto until they bring up their shield, have a nade ready to go, once the shield is up, prime your nade then lob in under or besides them... easier to achieve on normal difficulty, any lower and they tend to die too easily before puting the shield up

throw a grenade under him, it can go below the shield and blow him.

get him to pull it up, lead him next to an explosive barrel. easiest way for me

Maybe its easier to get at the end battle...

Shooting them in center mass inspires them to raise the shield, from there it's just a matter of getting a nade behind them

I got it by shooting him in the foot, his foot sticks out a little when he has shield up.

I did it

First you got to save near to him (he must be full of life) throw a grenade at him, and take your weapon and do all the damages you can before the grenade explodes

He will put his shield up and BOOM
You have the achievement !

i just used the grenade launcher twice once he got hit the first time the shield goes up then fire again while its up and he dies

its possible to shoot their foot, ive seen a user broadcast achieve this, if the angles right

I just got close and strafed to the side, got my shotgun around their shield, and blasted him in the face.

Same thing. Get close and wait for them to shield up. Then run at them and BOOM, in the head.
