Where is the toggle for the burst fire on pistols?

I bought the upgrade and have wasted about three magazines trying to figure it out!

The game litterally gives you a tool tip everytime you upgrade your weapons with new firing mechanisms.
How hard can it be to just do what it says on screen?

On rift, by default, it's double tap B.

But if you're playing this game, then you're using SteamVR--which means you have a very robust and built in way to check and change your button bindings... Use it.

No. No you don't. That wouldn't work very well, now would it-- considering pressing this button once (which ya have to do in order to press it twice) ... Ya know... ejects your magazine?

Incorrect. There's definitely a toggle. It's the most useful upgrade in the game IMO. You'll need it later in the game.

It depends on the controller. On knuckles, it's the button above it, you double tap it. The game literally tells you waht the button is when you get the upgrade, I don't know how you'd miss that.

Game didn't tell me when I upgraded, as another guy above said as well.
