yes i belive when the game has to do the physics with too many items it gets messed up, thats why in certain areas the grenades will be attached to something when there are many, like the combine soldiers have holsters and medpacks will be stabbed into dead guys and stuff. its definitly a bug they knew about :/
Yup reported this myself just yesterday, it's actually "any" interaction with grenades happening rapidly causes a full game crash. Just picking them up rapidly multiple times will crash the game almost every time, also sometimes just turning when holding one can cause a crash. Basically the only crashing this game gets, are ALL from grenade related physics/collisions/etc. Someone coded them very poorly. (It's literally only the grenades that cause this.)
