how do you get past the puzzle in breaking and entering?

theres a giant metal pipe thats pinned between two wood platforms and suspended by chains. It seems clear you have to operate the chains with the levars making one of the wooden platforms fall over to make a bridge....but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ how?! the pipe is in the way holding one of the wooden platforms in place! anyone know how to get past this so I can get back to enjoying the game?

Inside that same station should be a control with two buttons hiding behind a plank. Should be to the right when you enter that station. If you still can't find it, look at the pipe and follow the cables that stretch from it.

There's a wire leading over the crane operating the pipe. If you follow it, you'll see a controller for the pipe behind you near a curtain. Just move the pipe and raise the boards.
