hey does anyone else feel like the smg is way worse than the shotgun/pistol? i dont mean in strenght i mean in the feel and the reloading system... i feel disappointed that one of the 3 weapons feels rly bad when reloading and also looks bad... and the ubgrades are rly not original and very boring... am i the only one? (this is not hate i actually kinda enjoy the gun but way less than others and this is totally GOTY)


EDIT: many people here think im saying that the weapon is weak... no thats not what im saying im saying that its not fun to use and it also makes the game easy kinda so thats why i dont ubgrade my weapons much cuz the game gets much easier and i like hard games

I wish there was a better way to tell how much ammo is left in the clip

yea that also i have no idea... and also u cant reload it untill its 100% empty like some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ M1 Garand :D and i kinda wish that gun was in the game :D

I like it. You don't need to slide anything or eject a clip, so I like to keep a spare clip in my free hand and just feed them in as I'm shooting.

The bigger magazine upgrade is a autoloader that holds 3 mags.
Also u got a rough idea of how many shots are left looking at the "tube" in the front the red circle empties while shooting.

Its actually much easier to reload than pistol and shotty and is useful against combine

I found it very useful against both the spiked headcrabs and especially against antlions toward the end of the game

I wish we got the crossbow instead. Would have been fun to nail enemies to walls again.

I loved it, used it exclusively for the last half the game if I had the ammo. Extended mags and laser sights made that thing a combine murder machine.

Laser sight, until you get it it's very hard to aim, once you have it the SMG becomes the best weapon by far.

No, if you upgrade it with Ammo capacity it can hold 4 magazines at once making it the most powerful weapon in the game.

It's very good for spray- and-pray.

I think it would be better (for the game as whole) if you could use it along with other upgrades from the start with NG+, with remixed enemies for replay value.

SMG deals super high damage. Get the Laser or the Scope. Or both.
I still like the pistol more, because it's more accurate, but hell, the SMG deals some heavy damage.
