can a GTX 1070 work on Half-Life Alyx

I have a GTX 1070 My ram is 8GB and a i5 9th gen can I play Half-Life Alyx?

Easily. My 980ti/i5 9400f runs 90fps pretty solidly on the medium preset, even high ran okay. You should be just fine =)

the ram might be an issue for you though, but then again it may be fine because the minimum is a 1060 which has less gddr than a 1070, so it might help counterbalance the system ram that you are low on

just try and see, refund if it doesnt

I think yes. My 1080 works pretty fine on high settings.

I have a RTX 2060 which is the same as a 1070 and it works like a charm on high settings.

Plays like a charm. I'm so impressed how super smooth the gameplay is with Oculus Quest and Virtual Desktop. The grafics are stunning and the most impressiv experience I\ve ever had in VR. 10 hours in now. I just beg they won"t stop with Half Life now.

Today i searched the internet if people play it on a gtx 970. a i found some. they said it works. so i insta bought it. playing it also with quest and virtual desktop (no cable) and it runs great.
playing on i5 6600k and 16gb.
