It's how Alyx ends... You end up in the same portal type thing as what Gordon does in 1 and 2, talking to the man in the suit with the brief case. Except now you get the option to accept the brief case or not. Really is an amazing twist by valve. you should experience it for yourself some day. Oh wait, you don't own VR :steamsalty::steamsalty::steamsalty::steamhappy:
