The game is amazing (one of the best I've ever played), but whats the point if only 0.0001% of all gamers experience it? I don't think we'll be seeing any more VR games from Valve.

He's seriously one of the worst debaters I've ever seen on any gaming subject. Which is saying a lot as someone that's spent a plethora of time in many gaming forums since 2002 or so on dial up internet. I've never quite seen someone so hypocritical and yet confident haha. Quite a feat. I'd say it was very elaborate trolling but it seems to be more like legitimate antagonizing for no reason. It's like the Zucc used VR to murder his family by making them play Richie's Plank Experience out of a real skyscraper.

Again all this was going on before VR and will go on regardless of VR, also playing VR games does not especially affect any of that, any more than playing non VR games created by the same companies, or watching ad's etc.

There are lots of games that would not work in vr well. I would not want to play my strategy games in VR for instance.

I do a lot of of retro gaming via emulation like commodore C64, Amiga games, megadrive games etc. Which again would not work in VR (not well anyway)

Why would anyone campaign against something they care for?

That's not the question to ask at all. The question is "Why campaign against something you don't care for to people who do?"

I've made other comparisons on here. This is like going to Green Bay and telling everyone why they should hate the Packers and be a fan of the LA Chargers instead. It makes no sense. The question was asked if HL 3 should be a VR game. If you don't think so, state it (and why) and move on. That's the normal thing to do. It's NOT normal to start stalking people's purchase histories and going off on tangents about VR that have nothing to do with the topic at hand.

The hilarious part is I've stated multiple times in recent comments that VR will likely never be the primary way to play video games haha. I absolutely HATE (loathe even) the use of the term "strawman argument" but this is as textbook "strawman" as it gets. They just keep making things up to complain about.
