would the game be playable on 8gb of ram?

i did with 8gb, but after changing chapter i had failures on new texture loads. Now with 16 gb that problems are gone.

No reason to ever have less than 16 Gigs of RAM. I don't wanna hear about finances. You should be able to save 60-80 dollars.

This is probably your best answer. Yes, it will "work", but later on you may have issues with texture loading. In other words, with 8 GB of RAM it will start but you're probably going to have problems.

i finished the game on 8gb of RAM, there are issues but its playable, def tho make sure that you run the game on low, and to have no other background tasks, or as little as possible
