Many people buying this will not have used it before. So both the Ant-Lions and the Combines aggressive AI has been toned down.
Again, I think it needs an NG+
also the antlion workers didn't visually differ enough from the regular ones (like they do in ep2) to be to my liking
it's understandable though, having the quick and nimble antlions from hl2 would be very messy for VR
I think they could've made them more mobile and aggressive without making them full HL2 speed. I like the idea of Antlions having armored carapaces and weak thoraxes (and especially compensating for lost limbs, those animations were really good), but without that distinct Antlion rush they're sadly just way less intimidating after the first few encounters.
True, animations are lame, they could at least mask the simplicity.
Not just that. They alse use to walk backwards :D Non sense. They shold be like in HL2: always attacking agressively.
Even the headcrabs look more threatening
Yes, i didnt like too much the mechanic. is like every antlion is a miniboss where you have to shoot always at the same spots and always in the same order. I would prefer the HL2 antlions, that you just shoot at them and they die quickly. And the "orange legs boss mechanic" for another type of antlion
