Does anybody know if there are jumpscares in the game?
I'm okay with like creepy environments or creepy enemies but i'm not okay with jumpscares especially in vr.

I'm with you. The makers of Metro made a game for the Rift called ARKTIKA.1. It seemed cool but early on you are fighting these creatures in a dark lit cage elevator. The creatures with no eyes are climbing all over the cage and you have to quickly shoot them off. However at a certain point one creature is placed inside behind you point blank and it's hitting you. I turned around not knowing whats up and I'm face to face with this nasty creature and I almost died in real life! I told my friend who also had a Rift that was playing the game too, told me the next level your flashlight dies and you have to track the creatures by sound alone. At that point I said "I'm out"! Too freakin' much. I never realized how scary VR would be especially if your'e the type to get into a game. So I hope in Alyx the jump scares are few and far between if any but I have a feeling there will be a several at least.

There's a part in the gameplay where a headcrab jumps on the window, so probably. lol

head crabs might be an issue then, try to shoot the head crab on the zombie so it dies instead of it coming off and jumping at you

Your contribution is a tribute to VR! It describes so beautifully what VR really is and can do. You experience real adventures!
I like that, but I can understand that it can get too much.
Ultimately, fear, relief and joy make a VR game a real experience.

Thanks for your contribution!
