Very good to make 1st VR experiences with a real headset and Steam Support (trust me, this is by far not comparable to cardboard, daydream or gearvr solutions)
"Entry" Models are Lenovo Explorer, HP VR1000 or Acer AH101 - you can get them used or b-stock already from 150-200USD...
If you like it you can further improve your experience - still without spending 1k USD for full Valve Index package - with some higher tier Headsets like Samsung Hmd Odyssey+ or the Oculus Rift S
Instant-buy when you get it cheap, maybe there will be a 300USD black friday deal again

Nevermind my comment, seems you can always get it arround 250$ @ebay already - so if u wont find a very cheap lenovo/hp/acer WMR headset always go for the samsung one, just make sure it's the updated PLUS version ;)
