"Colorist" and "Tactician" achievements

I'm not exactly sure I understand correctly the requirements for these 2 achievements:

"Colorist" - Make 5 matches with buttons of the same color
How big should the match be? Do the matches have to be made one after another? Same color needed or same type (for examplke the yellow round buttons and yellow star buttons have similar colors, but different types)
I've tried different variations but nothing worked so far.

"Tactician" - Make 20 or more matches of 4 in a row
I've went up to more than 40 in one level, but the achievement did not trigger. Is there any requirement for these matches to be done exactly after each other? Or chained in some way?

Could anyone confirm that these achievements are not broken? I'm already towards the end of the game and still didn't get them.

To earn Colorist achievement you have to make 5 matches - any matches, 3x or greater.
To earn Tactician achievement you have to make 20 matches "4x" (match 4).
These achievements are not broken. For example, more then 100 players already got "Tactician".

I managed to get Colorist so far. The description of the achievement is not quite accurate though. In order to obtain it, you need to make those 5 matches without triggering matches of other colors in the meantime. Any matches of different color than the one you picked (it doesn't matter wether they are automatically or manually triggered) will break the chain.
In other words, a better phrasing for the achievement would be:

"Colorist" - Make 5 matches with buttons of the same color in a row (without matches of other colors)

I assume the requirements for the Tactician achivement are similar.

I've got both of them. The colorist one was easy, but as for tactician, I literally have no idea how I did it, it just popped up after a combo. I don't know if it needs 20 4-matches in a row or just within a certain time, but it was like as if it was pure luck.

From what I've seen, you need to make 5 matches of 4x (no matter the color). I was preparing to make 20 matches of 4, so imagine my surprise when it popped after only 5.
Of course, you are not allowed to make other matches in between (3x, 5x...) since they will break the chain.

That could have been it. I really was just surprised by it as I was not actively pursuing an achievement on that level. ^.^

Question for Tactician. Do the links that result from gems dropping down erase your progress towards the chain? If so, I don't know how it's even possible to get this achievement since I have no control over what gems drop down onto the board. Also, do dual links reset the progress as well (i.e., I make a x4 match, but at the same time a x3 match of another color goes off)? Been trying for this achieve for 3 hours now and I just wanna know if I'm wasting my time or if I should move on to another game.

Yes, dual links and the links from gem drops seem to reset the progress (at least from what I remember).
I know I had to start all over again when I had one of those cases.
Kepp in mind that you need only 5 matches of 4 (and not 20 x 4).

I've tried the 5 matches of 4 and it never triggered the achievement for me. I'm suspecting it was a bug that the devs fixed once they became aware. I think I'm gonna move on. As much as I enjoy the game, there are some extremely frustrating design decisions that prevent me from recommending it to others. Like, why can't we see what number each level is without actually having to go into each individual level. In what world does that even make sense?1

I can confirm that 5 consecutive matches of 4 does not unlock the achievement.

i managed it in level 76, after 5 * 4 buttons in the row the achievement plopped down.
