Working on Linux?
I know this game doesn't have native Linux support, but I'm wondering if anyone has tried it and gotten it working with the latest wine. I'm really interested in this game, and would love to play it, but I only have Linux machines. I do have wine-staging 4.5 and DXVK.

I would also like to know this. Developers, does this game work on Ubuntu with Steam Play enabled?

Is it still coming to Linux or was it canceled?

Hi There, I have disabled the Linux Download (because it was broken, due to some experimental shaders) Until we get a correctly working native Linux build, would you be able to use Steam Play? (We had no idea Steam Play existed!)

Thanks
- Dan

Looks like nobody tried yet how it works with Valve's Proton: https://www.protondb.com/app/545040

Thanks for the update. I don't use Proton, but I will wait patiently for the Linux version to (hopefully) be fixed.

Thanks for the info Draps. I can wait for the Linux build. If it's going to be a while I might buy the game and try it on either Proton or vanilla WINE.

@Draps - right now the game installs natively on Linux, and gives a blank pink screen with background music. If you want us to be able to try it on Steam Play then you need to remove the Linux stuff from the repository etc. Please don't make this one of those games that blocks Steam Play forever :(

I've found a github script called Native2Proton that can force it to run on Proton. The result is that it actually runs very nicely but it's nevertheless a horrid workaround.

@JimDeadlock That's highly encouraging and this will likely be the next game I buy. I have a full steam install inside WINE for just such an occasion.

Hi, just added my report to ProtonDB - it should be published soon. The game runs perfectly using Proton 3.16-9. Install directly from Steam using steam play. I initially had Proton 4.2.7 as the default but Feather was stuck showing just a grey screen (no sound even). Switched to 3.16-9 and all is good. HTH

I run with Steamplay Proton, but it just opens a white screen . Also tried with launch option " -renderer" ... same thing. :angrypirate:

Check the post above you. You need to use version 3.16-9, then it works. I just tried it myself as well.

Worked flawlessly for me on Linux. All I had to do is download and click play.
