I wonder whether it will replace all Jupiter Mk 1 ships or whether it will be a separate ship that you can order?
What's happening for sure is a massive upgrade of the squadron capability. Not sure about the fighter/support slots distribution, but Jupiter II seems able to handle five squadrons total. Check the screenshots in the store page for the DLC - one of them is an in battle shot and it shows Galactica using 2 viper II squadrons, 2 raptor squadrons and a Sweeper squadron.
That ship truly seems like something else...
EDIT: It also looks like there's additional guns under the flanks of the bow of the ship in one of the shots.
The show version has 24 turrets, the Mk1 has 16 (8 dorsal, 6 ventral, and 2 forward). The Mk2 now has at least 4 forward so she's definitely gotten a turret buff we'll just have to wait to see to what extent.
