Hacking nukes? (homing munitions in general??)
So I launch a nuke from one of my ships (while another in the fleet is being hacked). Consequently all my ships launch their nukes, empties out all munitions. The nukes then proceed to do a uturn and target my capital ships. 2 minerva's instakilled. What the actual ♥♥♥♥.

Watch those WARDRIVERS. They most often are launched from a Phobos or other large Cylon carriers, but they will hack your nukes and turn them back against you...most often the ship that launched the nuke. They can appear suddenly and they have a blue sphere (area of operation, AO) surrounding them. If your nuke passes through the blue sphere, it will be hacked. Kill the Wardrivers with Vipers as soon as possible and don't be too hasty about launching nukes with Wardrivers around. If you do, just make sure the nuke does not go near or pass through the Wardriver's AO. (PS. Wardrivers will also quickly hack your ships. Not as fast as a Phobos, but a lot faster then a Nemesis. Also, Wardrivers are launched in sets of 2; if you see one, there is likely another nearby)

There's also cylon "comet" munitions which will hack guided munitions and turn them on their original launchers. Same function as the warpdrivers.

Thank you both for the reply. It was the comet munition though, but I had no idea what it was for. "The Comet will attempt to hack the guidance of any homing munitions in its path, and spoof false targeting data to force the hostile munitions to chase the Comet instead, often into the side of a Colonial capital ship". Often.. into the side of a Colonial capital ship. So it seems I was as unlucky as I could possibly be.

What I don't understand though, is why all my nukes were launched. I only launched one (straight into the aoe of the comet), and subsequently ALL my nukes were launched from all ships that had one. Hence the reason both my Minerva's were destroyed.
I've never seen or heard of that happening.

You can launch all munitions if you drag select all ships and then right click a target and fire all munitions. TL;DR: You'd need some kind of multi-select in play for that to have happened. You may have still had half your fleet selected when you gave the order.

I'm almost certain I didn't, but yeah, must be I had them all selected and somehow hit the "fire all munitions".
Hmmm....I never use multi-select. Nice to know.
