I get that it's meant to be realistic but it's just so bloody awkward. the OP already said why it being fiddly is bad and all they seem to want, and i agree with them here, is the *option* to have a realistic inventory or an efficient one that doesn't require 5 different button presses to change an item in your hand. You can still maintain realistic stack sizes and such to maintain some of the realism but it's just so infuriating trying to build a base, under the times conditions of your oxygen and power, at a snails pace because you're constantly switching between inventories, swapping items in an out of your hand, getting buttons wrong, accidentally opening your helmet and dying because it's so damn finicky. All we want is the *choice* of a minecraft style inventory
Yea, I feel the can't carry everything pain, but that's kinda what I like about it. I'm not arguing, just have a different take on it is all. I do agree that having to go through airlocks 4 or 5 times in 10 minutes can start to get to you though
Im going to dig up a friend somewhere to play it with now..
Weather options sounds cool too.. I like punishing weather (and repairing afterwards)
Nah... The uniqueness of the 2 hand system is what makes this game..Fumble with all your tools in your hand..dropping them..floating away etc.
Minecraft is for kids by the way. This game is for hardcore gamers
And regardless, i just want an ergonomic, easy inventory system so that i don't get too frustrated and give up on this game each time i come to play it because i enjoy the rest of the game it just gets annoying with the controls. they're also very forgettable so each time i come back i have to relearn them instead of being able to jump in and play the game i enjoy
Weather should give rescourses (Not sure bout dust and ash, but the blizards could provide extra ice?)

Have you tried using the ALT key so you can use the mouse for inventory management? I gave up on the keyboard controls long ago. I think they're overly cumbersome but using the mouse simplifies most of that.
But that's different games... hard to compare...
