Railings & Railing Gates

I've taken apart several wreckages, and I'm not sure why I can't re-attach the lights to the railings. Please add that feature, as I am jealous of the ancients who left these tantalizing ruins behind.

Also, can we get an option to have a railing become a gate?

As a workaround you can place a wall, place lights, and replace wall with railings. But yeah, voting for this feature!

All right, I was able to place the wall, then the light, then remove the wall and add the railing. It would be far less work if the light just snapped to the railing in future. It's ok if only a few of the light types can snap to the railing. And still wanting a gate!
