What is the difference between the 3 mining drills?

So, what is the difference between the Mining Drill, Mining Drill MK II, and Heavy Mining Drill?

Most of the Mark II tools are for the hotter environments.

And, does this mean that I shouldn’t be making MKII on mars? (Unless working on a home-made flame thrower)

The heavy chews up the ground really fast, works faster than the Mark II. The only reason I can see for even bothering with the Mark II's is for the hotter environments. The heavy is one of the first tools I go for making, next are the Mark II mining and tool belts.
