Tracking Beacon issue
Hi, when i start the game up, the tracker works as intended with my tablet. However, after some time (or some event), It doesnt seem to work anymore, and the tablet simply says my name, and "0 m" for distance. No question mark or arrow. The only way i seem to be able to fix this is to build a new tracking disk for my tablet. Am I an idiot?

Also, im on latest update, solo on moon. Only "setting" I played with is i turned hunger to 0 since im a noob

When you have tablet in hand, turned on, try scrolling with mouse up and down. If beacon is working and has not ran outta power, you should get the direction. Other old method is remove tracker cartridge from tablet and insert it back.

Mouse scrolling used to switch between different signals/beacons/players to display.

And make sure your beacon still has battery charge. I don't know why, and I can't prove it, but I swear it goes faster some times than others...but it's also an easy battery to miss.

Holy crap, that worked. Thanks! I figured it was some user error since I didnt see anyone else with the problem, lol.

Haha, guess how I got to that solution. Few first times out for mining I was lost out there. Then I applied simple deduction method - if I get back and beacon still working (battery still alive), means it`s not it`s fault. Checking other x`es in equation - tablet itself, tablet battery, disk.

My advice - check beacon, your batteries and propellant level (plus filter level as for newest update) before you out for mining. Take 2 batteries into 4th inventory slot (uniform), at least if you don`t have nuclear yet. I go for mining about for 3 game days, because I take 6 mining belts with me, so need look seriously at preparation.
