What is going on with terrain?!

So i have my base next to some nice big craters. But today when i came close to the crater, the game generated a massive island in it, as if it wanted to fill it in. WTF?!

Hi,

thank you for your report! Sorry about this. We will try and make a patch on our end, however at this point, I am not sure if the fix will apply to your saved game.

I can confirm that I'm having this issue as well. Lots of random floating islands of ground...some in craters that I had mined out previously but also appearing in other places I hadn't touched. Compared to the prior terrain, it is really strange and seems very random.

Also, I agree with the OP comment about it seeming to try to fill the craters in. I've seen several that would seem to fit that description. One of them was a huge crater that was almost totally filled in except for about a person-size gap all the way around and under it...very bizarre.

Sorry guys and gals, we are aware of this issue. The old saves will not get fixed, but we are confident that new saves will not have this problem.
As we are game in quite early access, broken saves may happen sometimes.
