Hash Displays
So... I have a Stirling Engine connected to a data network, with a logic reader pulling the PowerGeneration variable, and a writer sending that read variable to a Hash Display chipped console (or attempting to).

I can select the logic reader in the console configuration, but nothing is displayed.

I can only select On or Open as the output variable on the logic writer.
If I remove the reader from the circuit, I can no longer select the writer from the console configuration.

How do I get this logic to display the correct information?

A hash display can not show you the power of your engine. It is built to show you any kind of objects , f.e. ores in sbd silos or items in a printer. To display power values you can use graph boards or better LED displays. you can read out the values directly from the engine or a cable analyzer. When using LED displays you need an IC10 chip with a small program on it.

Ah, so that's how they work. I can run LEDs w'out IC10, though. Awesome, thanks.

Now to figure out power management...

There is the Graph Display chip, which might be of interest to you. Can be used to draw a line graph on the PowerGeneration variable. (Logic Reader pulls the value from the engine, point the console with the graph chip at the reader).
I think there's also a Power Display board for the console, but I may be confusing that with the Mode of the LED displays: 0 is number, 1/2 is percentage, 2/1 is watt/kw/etc., I don't remember exactly.
