This also made obsolete workshop maps.

sometimes loose items can be the problem, open up the last working save

hit F3

type in CAPS

DELETELOOSEITEMS

anything not in storage somewhere or attached to something will be deleted from the map.

loose items seem to be frequently corruptible

are you starting in vanilla or loaded with mods?

mine are working fine.

try disabling all mods and boot it up in nilla

I have the same problem. I can´t load any of my save games. This is the second time i´ve had this issue.

Not sure why you replied to a 2yo post, but
There have been many changes to how worlds are saved, so anything before 2022 is probably gone. Worlds will also become unloadable after the upcoming terrain update. You just kinda have to move on from time to time, or go into an earlier beta.

Also the command doesn't need to be in caps.

@Dickerreis

I still get missing save games occasionally. Usually the game does in fact save your progress, but the game files have a "temp_" appended to the front of them. This needs to be removed in order to load your save.

What I do when it happens is go into the saves folder and find the three "world" files which have a "temp" on the front of them, copy all three so that you have a backup copy in the folder, and then remove the "temp" in the filenames.

When does you should have world.bin, world.xml, and world_meta.xml. The file dates should reflect your latest save point.

Restart the game and it should find the save point. I always figured that this was because I am using a junction to point my Stationeers folder to my Dropbox.

I do not have this Temp_-Files. My last save is from 25.10.2024. Last time i had this issue, i started a new game, but that cannot be the solution.
It should be possible to load older save-games without any error.

Have you tried using a fresh start game as a placeholder, then copying your old files into it's place? Are you on the stable branch?
