GPU freakout on splash screen

Is it just me or does some one else also do observe this behavior: When starting the game, the loading splash screen appears. And during that time, Steam tells me the game is rendering at ~3500 FPS. I also can hear my graphics card coil whine as hell, and all fans roaring up as if it is burning. When I've looked into my graphic cards tool, it shows up that it uses up to 500 watts of power.

But once the splash screen is gone, and the main menu shows up, everything gets fine again. Also ingame everything is fine.

Hardware:
- ASUS RTX 3080 Ti Strix OC
- Screen 4k 144Hz

Is there anything I can do about it? It really makes me nervous, because I know of stories that games killed graphics cards like that.

you could restrict your FPS using the NVidia Controls Center
3D Settings - contol 3D settings - MaxFrameRate

Thanks for reporting, we have found one place we forgot to FPS limit. This is being fixed for next update.
